The aroma is mild musty fruity esters and some caramel goodness. The taste is mostly yummy caramel candy sweetness and seems to be followed up by mostly dark fruity esters. The caramel note rides the flavor from front to back. Tasty. Jukkabro (3086), Tampere, Finland

Flavor starts with hint of caramel, ends with drying hops and coffee taste. Crispy beer with nice body, though porter is not a style that comes to mind when drinking this. Maybe some alcohol taste in end reminds me of porter. TBone (6928), Pori, Finland

Nut brown with tanned steady head. Aroma is sweet malts and coffee. Medium-bodied, well-roasted flavor. Aftertaste is quite short and oily. Not maybe the world class porter but drinkable.
Re-rated bottle, 6.0%
Ruby brown color, vanishing head. Sweet, toasted brown sugar aroma with grassy hops. Grassy, low-quality hops and burned malts in the flavor. Harsh, unbalanced dark lager. (4/3/4/2/9 2.2) Gazza (721), Worcester, Worcestershire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2005 Bottle in Olletorn, Tallinn. A reddy/brown coffeeish brew with a thin-ish, vaguely metallic palate and a good roasty finish. Don’t know why this was sold as a Porter - RBs Dunkel sounds a lot more like it although I’d say Saxonian Schwarzbier myself. jbrus (4996), Delft, Netherlands

Light sweet, hint of chocolat, hint of butterscotch, lightly roasted, smooth. No a bad beer but if I would have judged it to the style it would be. Because it doesn’t resemble other porters much. sayravai (3811), Helsinki, Finland

Burned-malty, hoppy chocolate aroma. Malty coffee flavor with burned sugar and some toffee. Quite smooth, light to medium-bodied, a bit thin palate with soft carbonation. This is more like a dunkel than a porter, but quite an enjoyable and smooth brew anyway. When warm, the porter side is stronger, but the body is still quite thin. The head is surprisingly white. Caramel-like roasted notes - not burned. Quite pleasant. Glad to see that this was not labelled a "Porter" which it clearly isn’t. 250504 veronika (410), Sweden
