ABV: 10.5%. Light cloudy black colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, mocha, cocoa, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, caramel, coffee, licorice - soft licorice, cocoa, vanilla, mocha. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20200620]

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2019 Jet black with medium tan head and good lacing. Aromas of coffee with milk. Slightly roasted flavors, a bit ashy mouthfeel with pretty strong coffee feeling. Surprisingly dry.

Bottle shared with group pour opaque black with large mocha head. Nose mineral chocolate,red fruit, like coffee, some vanilla. Taste sweet, red fruit, milk chocolate, light vanilla.

Pours black with a low off white head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted notes with coffee and vanilla. Taste is chocolatey and roasted with vanilla and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of chocolate, mocha, caramel, malt and some red fruit. Taste has smooth mocha, caramel, coffee, malt and a somewhat boozy finish. Nice one.
