Appearence was a slightly cloudy light orange. A nice 2 finger creamy white head upon the pour which slowly faded to a thin layer of head on top. Slight lacing.
Smell was of sweet malts with a little doughiness showing itself at the backend. Smells appetizing. A little faint though.
Taste was similiar to the smell. Sweet malt mostly and just a little bit of bread at the end as well. Taste is good.
Coats the mouth with a medium body.

Nice lacing and lively carbonation. Aroma is of sweet toasted nutty caramel malt, apple, and a hint of spice very pleasent. The flavor blew me away,a huge sweet malty nutty taste, with some hints of bread, peaches and maybe some orange zest. A good creamy mouthfeel. Just a hint of bitter hops at the end. VERY GOOD ! spkldhenlvr24 (496), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear deep golden body with an orange tint. Medium sized with head with some decent lacing. Really hard for me to pick this aroma out but I got a lot of cereal and malt with the smallest amount of yeast, fruit and hops. Crisp, smooth, mellow, full bodied mouthfeel. Nice balance of sweet malts with a slightly bitter finish. Very easy drinking beer. Really enjoyable. grandet (494), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2004 Deep gold almost orange in color with a fluffy, white head. A very dry malt aroma with some carmel and malt sugar. A lush blanket of sweet, carmelly, cotton candy-like malt but perfectly balanced with a solid, long bitterness. punkeedo (491), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2009 2008 Bottle. A very good marzen, but not the best. Wonderful aroma, full and malty. Nice amber appearance with little head. Tastes of well-roasted malts and a quickly dissipating hoppy aftertaste. Appropriately oily palate, so as to leave you satisfied without a weird aftertaste lingering. Well done, as always, Ayinger. 19641948 (491), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Pours a subtle cloudy golden amber color with an aggressive head of white. Nice lacing. Aromas are quite pleasing with a toasty grain scent and a firm bready note. Herbal tea hop notes detected. Entertaining biscuit flavors liven up the palate, along with a snap of herbal hop tones. Toasty aftertaste. Clean and dry. Three 500ml bottles were promptly dispatched in a sitting; the drinkability was amazing. brianprentiss (488), Portland, Oregon, USA
