12/23/05 16oz. draft @ golden rail. A good copper color with an average white head. I tasted a lot of caramel flavors and a little bitter perhaps. I thought it was a barley wine because to me the alcohol was clearly defined. My first middle ages brew and hopefully more to come.

Bottle at Aaron and Kathy’s Holiday/YeHa Party on 12-3-05. Courtesy of jasonp. Copper bodied. Hoppy and caramel laden nose. Sweet malts and citrus notes as well. Taste is creamy malts with a bit of crisp hoppiness. Also, citrus fruits, toasty malts, some brown sugar and maple. Hint of Englsih toffee as well. Body is smooth with mild carbonation feel and a lingering hop bitterness. Very nice stuff!

[bottle - 22 oz] Very dark and rich copper pour with a thick and creamy tan head. Aroma is lots of citrus, pine, caramel and a slight floral hint under everything. The taste begins with a slight burst of caramel flavor that moves instantly to a citrusy and floral hop taste with a hint of caramel. The finish is very hoppy, floral and bitter... lingering for a time. Very creamy mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Excellent brew.

Sampled at Argo & Kathy’s ’05 Hoiliday Gathering. Deep, dark clear copper with a thick, off-white head. Strong pine/grapefruit nose. Flavor is a tasty mix of grapefruit/citrus, toasted malt/caramel and toffee. Medium bodied with a smooth texture, moderate carbonation. Enjoyable.

Draft. Dark copperish color, medium off-white head. Hops all the way in this one, a bowl of fruit salad swimming in pine tar if I’ve ever tasted one; dunk some bread in there and you’ve got a Wailing wench of a beer, complete with a mild lingering bitter aftertaste.

(22oz bottle) Lightly hazed dark copper body topped with a tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, pine, caramel, grapefruit. Watery medium body, thin.

Hoppy, bready nose. Dark clear brown color, tall head. Sweet caramel malt body with a hint of raisins and nuts. Big fresh hop finish. Fully body and a good balance. This beer grew on me more and more through the glass.

This was surprisingly good. Kinda similar to Arrogant Bastard overall. Pours a nice deep amber with a thin head, but lots of lace. Aroma has a really nice balance of citrusy hops and thick deep caramel malts. Flavor has lots of caramel malts, wierd toasted malts, and some hops that might have been more intense if it were fresh. Pretty smooth overall.
