COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Reepicheep, the most noble of all noble mice. And proof that even if you may be small you can indeed still come with quite a sting. Reepicheep’s sting was his sword. In the beer we brewed in his honor the sting is the hops. Although the beer is a modest Wheat Ale (36% wheat in the malt bill) we - once again - went a little overboard with the hops with no less than 7 additions within just half an hour. And then our usual, massive dryhopping - of course. So for those who think that a wheat beer mostly resembles a banana split with a dash of cloves we’re only glad to prove you wrong.

Ingredienser: Vand. Malt: Pilsner, Hvede. Humle: Simcoe, Cascade, Amarillo, Summit, Chinook, Citra. Gær: US-ale

Månedens fadøl juli 2014.

Fra kran på Haand Ølfestival 30 Mai 15. Delt med Rune. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Lavt skum. Bra søt fruktaroma. Mest ananas. Syrlig med en litt tørr avslutning.

At Craft & Draft. Aroma of wheat and yeast. Taste has citrus, soft wheat, bitters. Just solid. Good for a wheat ale, but not very interesting.

This is the least wheat-aley wheat ale I’ve tasted in a long time. Chalky texture owing to the boatload of hops. Weird aroma of wet paper bag and urine.

5%ABV. Wheat ale. Tapped out a golden yellow, clear and about 8ºSRM. This was a little surprising at first because I was expecting the turbidity of a wheat beer. The 36% wheat instead of the at least 50% accounts for the relative clarity due to the lower protein content Nice fruity aromatics in the nose that suggest citra, amarillo and other aromatic new world hops. This again is explained by the aggressive dry hopping that is more characteristic of an American IPA. There are brief bready, doughy aromas. Nice solid malty body. Cut by aggressive bitter hops. There is some umami at first then dissolves into the herbaceous hyssop finish. Just makes it onto favorites list.
