Weill, this was on the shelf with the Dogfish Head Punkin Ale, and I went with this since the brewer was "new to me." Pours a medium head with some fizziness visible in the body. Beer itself is a really orange color, and has the definite taste of pumpkin baked with brown sugar. Nutmeg is most prominent, but none of the spices is especially overpowering. It’s just a nicely tuned little pumpkin pie beer, definitely using pumpkin instead of just pumpkin pie spices.
I finished the last bottle in my sixpack yesterday (March 31) and I found it did hold up pretty nicely. It was well filtered at bottling, no icky sediment on the bottom. Spices had not become overpowering, but added to the malt to make it come in a little "richer." I wouldn’t want to hold on the this too long, but it aged well.

Nice gentle taste of pumpkin and good tasting overall. rcasta (515), El Salvador

Pours hazy amber with orange edges. Two finger off-white head fades to a film. Sweet pale malt aroma with dark spice and something lightly seaweedy. Definite cinnamon and nutmeg. Spice mowed nice with the deep caramel. Seaweed does blow off. Touches of toasted sugars start to show after a minute or two. Flavor starts off with decent malt and a touch of spice. This melts into a more sugary caramel where the cinnamon really starts to come through. The spices are very noticeable bit they are not over the top like in so many other examples. Caramel goes back to malt in the finish with a bit of a co2 bite and dark brown spice. There is an ever so slight touch of cardboard in the end. coldmeat23 (232), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Good medium to dark amber color. Decent one and a half finger head. Fairly good retention. Darn good lacing.
Not really as much smell as I would expect from the average pumpkin ale.
Minimal pumpkin notes, along with light pie spice notes. Small malt presence.
Good pumpkin flavor with the spices buried underneath. Much more of a pumpkin ale, than most others, which tend to rely on the spices for flavor.
Creamy, yet still light enough for macro-heads to probably enjoy.
I find this one to be quite drinkable. Most likely by mass audiences, with the right marketing. jcr (1212), Jasper, Indiana, USA
