Pours a dark brown cola colour with a thick khaki head. Pretty serious lacing too. Big aroma of molasses, demerara sugar, and som dark fruit. Flavour is pretty authentic bock. Just enough spice and bitterness to make it interesting. heavy (913), Split, Croatia

It poured dark brown body with medium sized head. Very fine sweet malty aroma, caramel, sugary and slightly sourish. Flavor was also quite nice, caramel, chocolate and fruity malty. Maybe for a tone too sweet. Full bodied, with long sweetish caramel and biscuit yeast finish. Definitely not one of the typical dubbels and I liked it quite much. Musty notes of sweet dark fruit on the nose. Brown suger, licorice, drief fruit. Enjoyable drink with a slight alcohol presence. jerc (4062), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sugary dark malt aroma. 7+ Flavour is similar, malt forward, light sugars, modest alcohol throughout, toasty malt accents. 7+ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate. Well carbonated. Pleasant. Not super complex, but richly enjoyable. Bottle at L’Autre Oiel, Aylmer dEnk (363), Den Haag, Netherlands

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2010 Poured a murky dark brown colour with a medium sized off white head that went away at a medium pace. Sweet malty vinuous nose, notes of alcohol, slightly caramelly and oily. The taste is a disappointment, malty and light, dry and odd. Some random bitter roast around it. The maltiness ends up being slightly soft and chocolatey as it warms. Light plastic. Oily again and ok now that I think about it, but it just seems that dubbels and similar styles usually aren’t my thing.
