THOUGHTS: I was a little scared that this would be skunked because the bottle was very dusty, but it wasn’t. It might have been a little old, but not by much. Not as good as Sierra Nevada’s hoppy holiday offering, but still nice, It didn’t really taste like a winter beer, but there was a slight warming effect. Some dark sediment made me want to try a fresher bottle next year. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a murky, light to medium orange with a large to huge, rocky, somewhat meringue looking, ever so slightly off-white head that slowly, but mostly diminished and left good to fair lacing. It also had medium sized particles in the body of a thin density. The aroma was light toasted malt and cracker; moderate to heavy floral and perfumy hops; light yeast; apricot and peach. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, acidic and bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet, rather bitter and acidic with a long duration. There was slight honey-like malt, cracker, oranges, peaches, floral hops, yeast, apricot and wine. The light to medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a lightly metallic, chalky, ever so slightly astringent and very dry finish.

From a 12 oz bottle this poured a dark amber with and off white head and thin lacing. Nose of grainy malts with a hint of floral hops. Body is thin and the mouthfeel is watery. the flavor is an odd bitterness and the finish is dry. This is kind of bland to be called an IPA.

A: Poured with an average-sized, white head that quickly dissipated to a thin film. Body is a dark yellow color, and completely clear. S: There’s a slight maltiness to the aroma, but overall it’s kind of skunky and unimpressive. T: Some malt in the flavor, balanced with a bit of bitterness, but overall it’s quite harsh. There’s something unpleasant that I can’t identify, but it’s what I remember there being in the Geary’s Summer Ale, which is supposed to be a completely different style of beer. M: Medium-bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. D: This beer isn’t that good... I wouldn’t buy one again. Aside from the Pale Ale, I’ve never really had a good Geary’s experience.

Thanks to Susep73 for this! Clear gold pour, fizzy white head and drippy lace. Aroma is grainy with hints of spruce. Body is thin. This IPA has and english feel to it. Kinda boring....

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grainy malt aroma with some light notes of iced tea. The flavor has a light bitterness with some grainy pale malts. Decent, but not a good IPA.

Toffee nose with traces of cinnamon. Clear golden, thin white head. The flavor is bready, spicy, and dry. Nutmeg is everywhere from beginning to end, a clever interplay of British hops. Wanting in sweetness, perfumey, and tinny at times.

Has a darker golden color. Aroma is of skunked, hops, and malts. Taste is basically a skunked IPA. Has a lingering unpleasant hoppy taste in the aftertaste. Too bad because I was looking forward to trying this one.

tap for $4 at the rattle and hum nyc. wheaty yet clear in metal taste from the tap that reveals fruit and then good fruit as the beer goes down.orange and sweet with dishwater hops just gets better as you drink it. not an American type ipa by a longshot more refined and suited up. a bit floral more muted in tastes but somewhat layered. refreshing and not bad.
