COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an oak barrel aged beer obtained starting from the same wort of our Barley and same alcohol content (10% vol). We jealousy keep it in the french wood barrique for 6 months. These barriques are kindly supplied by Enrico Trapletti’s cellars after they have kept twice his top wine brand Culdree ( http://www.ticivino.ch/vini-e-degustazioni/rossi/207-culdree.html ). The beer looks ruby color, slightly veiled, on purpose totally free of foam (no head). As a matter of fact, the carbonation is in the bottle specifically avoided in order to allow the aromas developing the best: plum, vinous, green apple, black cherries. On the palate the lightweight and well-balanced sourness, allows us to distinguish the notes of wood, with the tannins present but never dominant, and, again, hints of prunes and cherries. Alcohol is very well hidden. Beer is supposed to be served at 15 °C in a tulip glass, perfect to be sip after dinner in front of a roaring fire. A meditation beer!

Sissio (2126) - Orsenigo, ITALY - SEP 1, 2016
Brown copper, no head. Caramel, carrub and wet wood, but vanished. Honey and golden raisin aroma. No carbonation, lactic, tastes as a nice, but watery dessert wine.

luttonm (7592) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 29, 2016
Bottle shared by brewer in Rome. Clearish red-copper. Odd soapy head. Red wine grape and rich alc/malts. Very fruity, a little acidic. Port like richness. A bit thin, a little acidic. Carbonation is strange, I feel it needs to be upped or eliminated completely.

Bottle, thanks SinH4. Dark amber, haze. Vesper Martini and wood aroma. Dry, slightly tart - riesling-like, cherries, barn/leather, nice combination. Medium body, wild apple notes retronasal. Very nice.

SinH4 (15466) - Garching bei München, GERMANY - MAY 24, 2016
Bottle courtesy of Marco Buraschi. Amber color with small head. Aroma is red apples, caramel, some white wine feeling. Taste is caramel, more white wine, red apples, quite sour, but it works out. The yeasts probably were not under perfect control here, but the taste is beautiful. Low carbonation. Very good.

jfb (8141) - Bamberg, GERMANY - MAY 24, 2016
(bottle, many thanks to sinh4!) murky deep amber colour with no head. aroma of green walnuts and acetone, rather oud bruin - esque, with some notes of white chocolate, cherry juice and caramelized grain. flavour is mostly black bread dough, cherry stones and oak chips, with a light touch of raisins, some more walnuts and a semi-tart finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Amber caramel filtered pour, gassy little foam dissipating in a blink. Nose: a bit vinous, port wine, apple. Mouth: really sharp, timid in a way, dry sourish body.
