COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Malty, roasted taste with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice, black rye bread, caramel, juniper berries, tart red berries, and a generous coffee bitterness in a vinous, warming finish. Full body with a certain sweetness. Strong, but not really boozy. Well balanced (for its strength), rich and tasty. Very nice.

Brokkie (1019) - - DEC 24, 2020

Leighton (33712) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 16, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2020 Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Kris Wines, I believe, a few years back. It's a very nicely layered, rich stout. Has some hearty, somewhat sugary chocolate character, dried berries, coffee, vanilla, raisins, roasted malts. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine, massaging carbonation. Has a bit of warmth in the finish, more sugary chocolate, nips of ashy bitterness, dried dark fruits, plum, burnt caramel. Definitely boosty and sweet, but still has decent drinkability.
