GBBF Day 1. Bottle. Late 90s bottle. Clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and dry and has an amazing amount of carbonation. Tangy malts and tangy fruits. Almost sour citric peel. Mildly disty caramel malts. Light finish. Very old but lively and flavoursome.

Bottle shared at the GBBF 2018 day 1 07/08/2018. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. A clear cola nut brown coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Aroma is aged, soya sauce. Appl, musty. Flavour is composed of. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy green apple tangy, soy, salty tea leaves. Palate is tangy plum, highish carbonation. Ok.

Old ass bottle thanks to Dan. It pours clear brown with a small white head. The earthy, musty, sweat, leather, spice, oxidised vibe and burnt toffee. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, tart, tangy, brown bread, stewed black tea, tannin, spice and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Old, bit not terrible.

A good example of what IPA's have become in their homeland. Needs more hops to be a good IPA. Having said that, this was a good beer in it's own right. Retired Eh?? No wonder I haven't seen it in a while ;-)

Hazy copper hue and quickly diminishing head. Aroma hinted of ripe pears and tangerines, caramel, wood and earthy hops. Fruity and lighty sweet taste. Grassy and metallic undertones. Mildly bitter finish. Rather bland beer froma brewery I respect and enjoy. Disappointing.

Muddy copper. Frothy light tan head. Very sweet aroma of caramel, butterscotch & licorice w/ a light fruitiness (no discernible hops). Thick, syrupy feel. Very sweet flavour again of caramel, butterscotch & licorice. Mild astringency. Peppery, earthy, bitter finish (but much of the bitterness seems to come from the alcohol). Somewhat harsh and unbalanced.

color is like an amber or copper with a hint of orange there. aroma is slightly hoppy with fruity and leather notes. aroma is slightly promising, but the flavor kills it. slight earthy bitterness, but other than that, there isnt much there. quite disappointing. a notch below burton bridge. i've yet to find an IPA from the UK that is outstanding...i'm open to suggestions.

I can't really put a finger on this brewery...where are they coming from, who drinks their beers, etc? For some reason they make me think of Felinfoel, although I am not sure why. This beer is ok, could be better, could be worse. Sort of bland for an IPA though.

I had the misfortune of purchasing a 6 pack of this beer that is/was well past its prime. As it warms up I taste glimpses of the beer this was at one point.

Well hopped, consistent with the style, but the hops were pretty monotone. Not an impressive example of an IPA.
