Reminded me of lemon and honey, sort of like tea. It was fairly sweet and extremely smooth. It had quite a bit of carbonation like most Unibroue’s. Well hidden alcohol for be at 10.5% ABV beer. Going to see if I can stock up on some more before they are all gone. phaleslu (696), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Pours a somewhat cloudy amber with a tiny white head that vanishes and leaves little more than a couple bubbles on the edge. Aroma of ginger, nutmeg, apple, yeast, orange citrus, vanilla, caramel malts, and coriander. The flavor is awesome, a lot of ginger and caramel, with plenty of spices (nutmeg, coriander, a hint of cinnamon), overripe red apples, orange citrus, yeast, and malts. Medium bodied, with a sticky, juicy mouthfeel. Warm alcohol complements the warm spices. This is a really interesting, awesome, underrated beer, and very different from the other Unibroue offerings. esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Hazy apricot with a thin white head, quickly fading. The cork came off and I smelled a caramel apple from feet away. Aroma of caramel and apple with bready malt, yeast, cinnamon and ginger. Taste of caramel apple, bready malt, yeast, cinnamon, ginger, alcohol, tasty spices, light clove/nutmeg. Yeasty finish, the beer itself hides the alcohol well though some is noticed via warming effects. The oldest beer I’ve had more than a sip or two of, probably my favorite Unibroue to date. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with a white head. Spicy brew with some tangy yeast tones, ginger sticks, ginger root, pepper shaker, and some light vanilla notes. Modest warming, caramel honey, and a bit nutty with berried accents. A nice ale. probstk (1125), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

App.: Clear amber with a small white head.
Aroma: A strange mix of apples, mint and ginger, some coriander, nutmeg and cinnamon, a bit of yeast and orange zest, vanilla?, bright fruits, kinda strange.
Palate: Medium body, fairly moderate effervescence.
Flav.: Like the nose, there is a rather eclectic blend of strong mint and lots of warm spices, some lighter fruit, coriander, orange and yeast; sweet with enough bitterness and an alcoholic malty finish.
Not sure that this works for me... JulienHuxley (278), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
