drpimento (7529) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 28, 2016Appearance is a clear pale yellow. Aroma is a bit of solvent at first and then becomes very fresh and is short-lived. Flavor is sweet upfront a bit savory and pleasant goes very well with cheese. Body is a touch thin and finish is somewhat long and like apples or pears.

allmyvinyl (19416) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2014Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear pale golden. I’m not really a big fan of sake. Light pineapple maybe? Rice wine.
Stuu666 (28626) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 7, 2014Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear pale golden, slight earthy pineapple nose, dry, fruity.
cgarvieuk (37619) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 13, 2014bottle at home ... lightest yellow .... soft sweet earthy rice ... soft fruits nose... light umami mushroom that builds... I REALLY DONT LIKE aged sakes
jbeatty (1267) - New York, USA - AUG 31, 2013Bottle, tasted and reviewed 08/19/2013. Pours light silvery gold color, like pale white whine. Aroma is pear, honeyed crisp apple, tart raspberry sweetness, cantaloupe, light toasted rice, touch of wood. Taste is pear, cantaloupe, juicy watermelon, round and full, mild rice finish. Body is silky, incredibly smooth, no heat, well balanced by avoiding excessive sweetness. Great.
jonno (2750) - WESTERN SAHARA - MAY 2, 2012Very soft nose - what you get is inviting though. Unique flavour for a sake. RIce, apple and an almost wine like dryness and light umeshu like taste. Good body. Very appealing, though not worth 3000+ yen a bottle.
obguthr (11683) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 23, 2011Blueberry and pear nose. Clear, very pale yellow with a greenish tint. Balanced plum flavor, subtle, some heat. Finishes with melon rind. I actually prefer the Kurahibiki Daiginjo-shu from Kikusakari, but this was pretty good too.
BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 19, 2010Bottle (I think an 06) thanks to cquiroga. Pours with a clear body with a gold tinge. Aroma is a bit musty, nearly like a light koshu, with hints of cobwebs, attic and tobacco. Also some notes of honey. Taste is honey, caramel, tobacco, herbal and light koji. A very interesting sake. Syrupy and well balanced mouthfeel with absolutely hidden alcohol.
goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - JAN 13, 2009Not 100% this goes here but I will find out tonight and move it if I have to. Pours , still, and clear with a light yellow color. Legs on the glass with each swirl. Aroma of pears with mild rice and alcohol notes. A spicy licorice and flowers with warming of the sake. The flavor has a vanilla start with a light fruity (lychee) middle. Semi-dry finish leaves a long taste. Warming but light and no real alcohol taste.
