(on bottle thanx MartinKubert)Dark brow to black, beige head.. Mild chocolate and a hint of smoke. Creamy, but what an awfull citric, almost metallic and soapy taste. The ending is sill quite sour and waterish. Yuk.

Cask-conditioned at the JDW on Old Street, London 13/10/09. Dark brown in colour with a decent, tan head. Sweet, milk chocolate and syrup aroma. Flavour had more chocolate, roastiness and treacle, with some liquorice evident in the finish. Ok.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. A bit of tipex thinners in the nose that I’m not enjoying too much. Malt and yup some treacle mainly. A little roasted chocolate and burnt sugar. Nice finish with a bit of vanilla ice cream about it. Fairly enjoyable stout.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours black and opaque with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted - hard roasted - malt and licorice. Fairly light-bodied with burned, malty notes and a weak underlying tartness. Dry finish from the malts. 050806

Reddish appearance. Somewhat sour and acidic. This combines with the strong taste of liquorice is not pleasant.

A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is slightly acidic combined with light notes of burnt rubber - and so is the flavor. The body is light.
