UPDATED: NOV 11, 2023 2018 vintage bottle. Poured a near black with a small sized off white head. I will have to retry this as this was infected ... very sour and I'm sure it was kick ass fresher.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2023 4 December 2022. Merry on the Prairie #2 @ Hal 16. Thanks, Jasper, and cheers to the crew! Vintage 2018. A: yellow apple, calvados, vanilla, wood, chocolate nibs. T: sweet apple & pear, pure chocolate nib, wood. F: tannic wood, apple, coffee roast, wood, warming calvados-like alcohol. P: full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Barrel connects well with the base beer, quite elegant.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2021 (355ml B2? bottle @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, Aug 3/19) Pours pitch black with a small pale tan ring. Notes of prominent apple brandy and even apple flesh, dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, moderate plus bitter roasted grains, black coffee accents, quite sweet in the nose and at the start of the sip but with apple brandy warmth building through the sip and giving quite the oak and spirit drydown, finish is brandy-inflected dark chocolate and vanilla with moderate toasty roast and wood. Medium-full oily body with rather soft carbonation. Intense stuff, not quite as balanced as I'd imagined from the things people said of B1 bottles but really good barrel character here.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2021 Bottle at trailer park Holiday tasting 2020. Black body with tan sheen. Very nice spicy apple sauce, light wood smoke/char, dark chocolate, vanilla aromas. Rich smooth slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Milk chocolate, pale malt, medium roast, vanilla, apple, light fruit flavors— warming finish ___ tasty fireside sipper

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2020 35,5cl Bottle @ Beergium, Le Roeulx, Belgium. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, apples, brandy, oak. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee, vanilla, apples, brandy, nuts, oak. Full body, soft carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2020 0.355l bottle from 'Beergium', bottled in May 2016, cellared for over three years. Pitch black with a thin, beige layer. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of praline, hazelnut, vanilla, some coffee and a touch of brandy. Fairly sweet, malty, gently roasty and a little fruity taste of praline, hazelnut, vanilla, mild coffee and brandy, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, quite warming and just a little boozy finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Lovely beer, perfectly balanced, accompanied by delicious flavours from the barrel. Great Imperial Stout from Prairie again!

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2019 Barwa czarna, piana mała. Aromat waniliowy, kokosowy, czekoladowy, drewniany, pralinowy. W smaku mnóstwo czekolady, wanilii, pralin, kakao, czerwone owoce. Pifko fajnie ułożone, alko całkowicie ukryte. Świetne pifko.
