jrodooo5 (2778) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - APR 13, 2018Outstanding aroma leads to a robust taste that is just a touch thin. Pours black w/ a thin tan head & good lacing. The aroma is rich containing toffee, light coffee, & black licorice. The taste is more sweet than bitter & the body more thin than chewy. However, the flavor is complex & it goes down easy! Alcohol is well hidden & this is quite different for an imperial & overall lovely!
DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 13, 2017Bottle @ Avenue Pub in NOLA. Extremely dark brown, quite viscous, diminishing light brown head that disappears entirely within a few minutes. Heavy molasses, notes of bitter dark chocolate and licorice and coffee, some cola sweetness too. Not as good as I'd hoped, but decent enough.
