El alcohol se nota en boca con un gran cuerpo y densidad muy agradable notas a humo dulces avainillados y nueces muy agradable acompañando queso curado marida bien con esos puntos picantes

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2020 Color negro, opaca. Espuma marrón oscuro de un dedo de espesor y retención media. Aroma medio intenso, caramelo, melaza, azúcar ligeramente quemado, leve licor, al ganar temperatura va apareciendo el humo y notas de cuero, ganando presencia poco a poco, dátiles. Sabor medio intenso, chocolate negro, madera ahumadas, ligeramente quemada, maltas tostadas, caramelo, azúcar quemado, leve licor y notas de regaliz, al atemperar aparecen cerezas negras, dátiles, humo y notas de nuez moscada, final medio, dulce y levemente amargo, de madera que en posgusto está claramente ahumada, alcohol bien integrado. Textura oleosa. Carbonatación baja aunque la sensación ahumada le da cierta chispa. Cerveza en constante evolución conforme atempera, sensaciones apareciendo y desapareciendo, humo que va y viene, dátiles, cerezas, chispazos de alcohol junto con tragos más cálidos. Un espectáculo al que debes prestar atención constante para no perderte nada.

En boca, mayor presencia de la madera ahumada, chocolate negro, caramelo, avellanas. Dulce y amarga. Densa. Una maravilla. #ISDay19

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2019 Imperial wheat stout oak smoked de 10 % abv. Concernant le style, voir la conclusion. Concernant l'âge de mon exemplaire, je trouve un 113:15 (!! ??) pour moi incompréhensible … Couleur noir aux reflets marron, et à l'opacité très forte. Mousse brun roux foncé, en nappage de surface et couronne à la paroi. Arômes de cerises noires, vin rouge, acajou, pointe de cuir. 1ère bouche sur bois séché, muscade, noix de pécan. Arrière-bouche avec café, poivre noir, pointe de bois brûlé très discrète. 2ème avec bois, café, charbon de bois à la Guinness. Arrière-bouche avec un ensemble un peu inférieur. 3ème avec une dominante de noix. Arrière-bouche assez dense, mais peu distinguée. La longueur reste sur un équilibre des saveurs assez approximatif. Jambes huileuses, longues. Levure souple, boisée, belle ligne. Alcool qui ne fait pas son niveau, il est dans une sorte de léthargie. Finale qui donne un peu de champignons cuits. CONCLUSION : en 2 temps très clair, 1 cette bière n'est pas du tout une ' smoked ', mais alors là pas du tout .. 2 en tant qu'imperial stout (ce qu'elle est), elle est dense, mais assez peu harmonieuse, les saveurs sont très approximatives .. Donc assurément pas un top rate, mais un bon stout de base, un peu à la Guinness sous certains angles … (8/4/8/3/16)

Bottle at home. Thought this was gonna be a rauchbeer. It’s an impy with some smoke. Black with tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Charcoal, molasses, ink, coffee, hazlenut, ash, peat, earthiness, salmiak, almond milky. Big sweet and bitter and quite some umami meatiness and seaweediness. Full body and soft Carbonation. Sticky. Is this smoked? I like it so it probably is. Moersleutel vibes.

355ml bottle @ Erik's. Pours an opaque black with a tiny brown head. Nose is barrels and a hint of smoke. Flavour is a bland mix of barrels and light smoke with a subtle unsweetned molasses and a roasted malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, with a mild sweetness with mild bitterness.

Pours cloudy black with a small, foamy, beige head; little lacing. Complex aroma of milk chocolate, smoked ham & herring, candied raisin, cream, coffee liqueur, sweet tobacco, bourbon, beef stock, soy sauce, some apple (acetaldehyde, especially when warming up, but not disturbing). Medium malty sweet onset with dark fruit and fondant (powder), becoming light to medium roasted bitter, hint of coffee, with a slight wheaty sourness and umaminess (soy sauce) in the back. Dry, toasty finish, a dash of peppery hops, lingering chocolate malt and warming coffee liqueur alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rich & complex, very likeable.

355ml bottle (thx, George!) shared with the wife. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is inky and just a bit smoky. Taste is sweet, inky, fruity. Good stuff.

Aroma: oxidation notes, dark chocolate, some coffee or cocoa notes, very delicate oak smoke notes during warming. Taste: rather dry, a bit tart, delicate bitterness. Beer us smoith and oily and has nice, stable, brown head.
