Holmen1 (13026) - Stavanger, NORWAY - FEB 8, 2024

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2020 (Bottle) Dark amber colour, hazy, with frothy beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, resin, dried fruit, orange peel, treacle toffee and pink grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, dried fruit, crisp-bread, orange peel, resin, a touch of liquorice and a generous resiny, citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. More of a barley wine or American strong ale than a mild (even the stronger variety). Tasty, but a bit unbalanced. Nice one.

330ml bottle share in 2016. Deep ruby colour. Aroma of honey, heather, cinnamon and caramel. Fairly sweet, and packed full of biscuity malt and chewy grain.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2019 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber gold, small beige head, dissipates quickly, good lacing. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, grass, nutty. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter. Fullish body. Quite interesting actually.

vastervikman (80) - Vastervik, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2019

Draft at Churchkey. Dark muddy Amber with frothy, sticky head. Hardly a mild, only in ABV. Big malty flavors with a nice hop sting. Beautiful and brilliantly delicious.

rumore (4465) - Rimini, ITALY - FEB 8, 2018
33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Just expired last month. Pours a beautiful reddish amber with medium whitish foam, very fine. Aroma is rich: malty, hazelnuts, cherries, and more. Body is dense and sticky, with good carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, and robustly bitter. Finish is long and bitter.
