"a little on the thin side, kind of like an apple-ish champagne. not bad, but not something i’d usually drink. it can be a refreshing alternative to real ale if you’re in the mood."

Bottle at home from backlog notes 07. Pours a clear pale golden color with a few random bubbles. The aroma and flavor have sweet apples, a light tart, sugary, too sweet, no complexity, I just don’t get ciders.

Sweet apple notes fermented apple some sugar a little plastic. Pours golden. Sweet fermented apple notes. A little dry in the finish. A little too sweet for my tastes.

12 ounce bottle from the Foothill state store. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet apple flavor. Fairly dry fizzy apples, some overripe elements, floral. OK.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a pale clear gold with a bit of fizzy head that goes away quickly. Aroma of sweet and tart apples. Taste is the same. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and an abrupt finish. Overall, not bad. Not much different from the other Hornsby’s.

Crisp apple bite in aroma and flavor. Could have been fuller in flavor but not bad as is.

seymour (2594) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - OCT 24, 2011
Tasted from bottle into pint glass. Poured a clear, light amber color of apple juice with a weak head and no lace. Strong apple aroma with complimentary fruity yeast phenols.Flavor is apples and alcohol, and little else. Slightly higher alcohol percentage and slightly drier finish than other popular hard ciders.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2010 Yuck, not a fan of Cider beers. I can manage them though, and after two or three I might grow to enjoy them, for one evening at least. Reminds me of the Renaissance Faire.
