UPDATED: DEC 25, 2022 Das Welde Bourbon Barrel Bock kommt bernsteinfarben und trüb ins Glas. Die fingerdicke, feinporige Schaumkrone ist bald weg. Der Geruch nach Bourbon, Vanille und Holz gibt die Richtung vor. Beim Antrunk mittlerer Malzkörper mit Dörrobst und Vanille. Der Gesamteindruck ist leicht süß. Beim Abgang dann der Bourbon. Tequila und Rum -wie es andere bemerkt haben- ist an mir komplett vorübergegangen. Auch die bittere Hopfung ohne Eigengeschmack, wie beim Bockbier üblich, ist vorhanden. Die Rezenz ist niedrig, was diesem Bier aber nicht schadet, da es ähnlich wie ein Rotwein zu verkosten ist. Trotzdem war es bei mir nicht so lange im Glas (.-: Eine super Variante des Bockbiers, gerne wieder! 08-2019

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2022 # 3166; 8/2022. BBE 11.7.2022 Malty, floral, vanila, slightly fruity aroma. Hazy orangish gold body; white head. Fuller body, malty, floral, honey, vanila. Barrel character evident, interesting maibock. 0,33 l, bottle (stored out of a fridge in the shop), supermarket, Güdingen (Saarland, Germany).

UPDATED: APR 5, 2022 Bottle, drunk on an unusually festive Tuesday, due to having had several tasty beers after homemade chili on crispy sourdough. Note: several months over expiry, though kept cold. Barely hazy orange amber with a small head. Nose is slightly cardboardy, biscuit, mild grain and honey. Big caramelized flavor, a bit woody, I might get a hint of tequila but not much rum or bourbon (maybe not first cask refill?). Interesting, I'd be curious to taste a fresher one, though oxidation from its cask time may be a killer.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2022 Bourbon bardzo wyczuwalny, slodkawy ma profilek, ale to nie przeszkadza, jest debinka, sa korzenne ciasteczka, nieco chmielowej goryczki pod koniec no i zlocista jaskrawa barwa, musujace lekko, lekko tez nawet mgliste, ale osadu ogolnie nie ma. Piana spora stabilna, spora niczym ilosc podrobionych covidowych paszportow w pewnym poludniowo-zachodnim landzie niemieckim.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2021 Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - cloudy brown and a thin head. Nose - toffee and brown bread. Taste - brown bread, light sultana and toffee. Palate - medium bodied, sweet and decent linger. Overall - good.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2021 Ordentlicher heller Bock und schön wie das Fass rauskommt. Finde nur, dass das nicht so super zusammenpasst. Da wäre ein dunkler Bock vielleicht besser gewesen. Trotzdem gut. Schöne Optik.
