Aroma of caramel and grass. Taste of hops and a little bit of alcohol bite. Nice amber. As with all of Bells beers this one doesn’t dissappoint.

Aroma and taste are a muddy mix of bread, earth, faint fruits and some hint of hops. I was not very happy with this brew from Bell’s... everything was just too muddy... nothing bold or even defined. They make some very good beers but this one just didn’t work for me. rlaw (118), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 22, 2010 Bottle. Pours a hazy orangey copper with a medium white head and some good lacing. Aroma and flavor are mildly sweet, bready, mildly hoppy, earthy, and slightly fruity. An very good amber and very suggestive of a nice English bitter. Tasty, but easy to drink. An excellent everyday table beer (i.e., good "aroma" and "taste," but very high "overall" for being such a good representation of the style, such as it is). | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 22, 2010 Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a "Guinness-type" glass. The beer pours a medium to deep amber color, with a fairly small but fairly dense white head. The nose is too subtle, forcing the drinker to struggle to pick up some notes of Munich malt. The palate evidences itself as emanating from a recipe that sought a balanced example of the style. Bitterness is balancing, at most. Malt flavor is subtle, but appropriate for the style. Overall, not an amazing beer, but essentially stylistically accurate. bedainedebiere (362), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2010 12oz bottle. Hazy amber, with micro-yeast particles. Enjoyable apt hoppiness thoroughly present in the mouthfeel, not very aggressive, though. A tartness is present, with notes of fruits from the abundant yeast. Everything is just in smoothness, here. Very good amber, one of the best I had. jmc509 (9), Virginia, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 12, 2010 I love the floral aroma and the light sweetness, both of which are there only for the first second or so in my mouth. Amber is my favorite beer color.
