App.: Clear light golden with a decent white meringue.
Aroma: A fair bit of Saaz hops – grassy, peppery, slightly woodsy and floral, some definite biscuit malts other light malt aromas, pretty good Pils nose; the hop notes fade as the beers airs out and warms.
Palate: Medium+ body and moderate effervescence with that smooth, pillowy Pils texture.
Flav.: The hops are turned down slightly and become a little more citrusy (lemons and limes), still plenty of nice biscuit maltiness, as it warms, it starts to taste like a lemon cough drop...not good!, hints of fruity esters; dry with decent bitterness and more of that odd lemony note.
Like my performance in bed: starts off strong but fades fairly quickly. bendybenbeer (26), Australia

Just why the Germans, of all people, continue to put their beers into green bottles, astounds me! Slight skunk on the nose, but this does disappear after 30 sec or so. After that, a slight minerally, hop presence. Beautiful golden colour, with a well formed white top. Taste is nice and malty, if a little light. palate is good, with nice carbonation. If it weren’t skunked, I could have a nice summer session with this. Go the BROWN BOTTLE GERMANY! For BEER’s SAKE! radioseer (165), Virginia, USA

Aroma is a bit subdued but the saaz hops are there. Flavour is clean sweet malts with a nice mild bittering finish. Certainly one of the better Pilsener’s out there. bgiamatei (242), São Paulo, Brazil

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Bottle. Pale golden pour with a short white head that doesn’t last long. Aroma is light, grainy and malty with hints of lemon and caramel. Flavour is about the same but stronger, plus there is a bit of extra citrusy hops. Good, solid body for the style with a dry mouthfeel and medium to long finish. Good pilsener and quite sessionable. cfrancis (447), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada
