Pernicious is our flagship India Pale Ale boasting a silver medal at this year’s Great American Beer Festival. This massively dry-hopped ale has minimum malt complexity and a combination of juicy, tropical fruit-forward hops with heavy resinous American hops. Pernicious is the epitome of a West Coast IPA, made right here in the Southeast.

nick76 (4699) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 16, 2024
UPDATED: APR 16, 2024 19 oz bomber can. The aroma is bread malt and piney grassy hops. The appearance is hazed gold with a smallish head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall not remarkable but a darn good, easy drinking IPA.

Zymurgeist2 (4894) - Redwood City, California, USA - APR 12, 2024
UPDATED: APR 12, 2024 Draft at the Columbia Fireflies gams. Slight hazy yellow. Full burst of citrus on both aroma and flavor, with solid bitterness in the back half of the palate.

BierMeHoos (883) - Maryland, USA - JAN 14, 2024
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2024 Straw golden color. Pour results in a generous head. Aroma is slightly citrusy. Taste is not as hop-forward as many IPAs, but has some light citrus notes and a bit of hops on the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall pretty darn good.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2023 Enjoyed at the bar at the end of terminal A at BWI while getting the stink eye from my wife. Bready light caramel and toast lots of earthy fruity spicy hops. Nice old school IPA

ccex (2331) - Lansing, Illinois, USA - APR 22, 2023
UPDATED: APR 22, 2023 12 oz can pours a slightly cloudy golden color with small white head. Aroma has citrus, pine, and light spices. Taste is bitter with the malty backbone coming out in the aftertaste. Body is medium with average carbonation and a lively mouthfeel. An excellent IPA

LinusStick (3741) - Moon Twp, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2023
UPDATED: APR 20, 2023 On tap at Rum Bar at Charlotte airport. Aroma was pretty weak. Could pick up lemon and grass but very faint. Pour was a slightly hazy light gold with a two finger white head. Taste was very light and mild. The lemon flavor was the backbone with a sweet graininess. Not much hop flavor. Good carbonation. Not bad but would consider this more a golden ale than ipa.
