Slightly musty peach aroma, clear gold body with soft carbonation, slightly sweet peachy flavour reminds me slightly of one of the Badger beers albeit without the latter’s depth. A good but not a great beer. Could have done with being bottle conditioned. Boystout (900), Chisinau, Moldova

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2004 Bottle from Stirchley C-op. A celebration ale, brewed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Roger Bannister running a mile in under 4 minutes. Luminous yellow, with a loose white head. Grapefruit and lemon aroma. Gentle but balanced and tasty Blond ale. Hops to start and in the middle, malty on the finish. Very lemony, with a real bitter zesty quality. Just like Sir Roger in 1954, this is very zippy, but looks graceful.
