COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flora is the wine barrel aged version of Florence (1915-1967), our wheat Farmstead® ale. Selected barrels were aged on a variety of hand-picked organic plums from Elmore Roots Nursery in Wolcott, Vt., for several months. The result is a vibrant, refined expression of both harvest and craft.

beerplace (8809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 20, 2020
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2020 375ml (thx, Raphael D. C.!) @ Phill's shared with Ash. Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma: nice sour plums (kind of similar in some manner to Japanese plum wines), rustic saison notes, some barrel. Taste: funky, not much of plums, dry. Overall: ok, but it's definitely not worth of the efforts and $.

TimE (8459) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 7, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2019 Very very pale color. Nice tart nose with sweet plum character balanced with the dry palate and oak. The fruit character is fantastic, not over the top and nice oak. Decent, balanced abut not world class

Oakes (30640) - Richmond, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 15, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 15, 2019 Pale salmon colour, but no head. On the palate, nice complex tartness, wood lends some nice tannins, and good plum character. Again, excellent beer, with superb depth and complexity.

Bottle at the brewery - shared with Nellser. pours hazy grapefruit pink with a fluffy, pure white head. Nice aroma, tangy plum, old wood. Light sweet flavor with sturdy acidity, tart plum, lemon, woody dryness. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Quenching finish, more tart plum, tangerine, lemon, drying wood. Bone dry aftertaste. Exceptional.

Bright gold pour, light haze, smaller head that fizzles out fast. amazing balance in the aroma and taste here. Slightly under-ripe yellow plum, rustic notes, wheat, barnyard funk, lemon notes, lighter oak notes, light vanilla sweetness, light yogurt lactic sourness. Nothing here exhausts the palate - no one component completely takes over this beer. Lighter body, carbonation is spot on.

*5/26/2015 375ml bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead Fest. glass. A~ looks like fresh squeezed grapefruit juice! decent head and a lot of lacing. S~ tons of plums! plum skin, wine barrel and barnyard funk, hay and tangy wheat on the end. T~ holy plums! follows the nose otherwise with crazy lemony tartness here. its like lemon ice with real plums. absolutely crazy! peppery geuze/lambic a little bit too. M~ perfect carb, a little dry and sour warhead like feel. O~ best fruited Flora so far! the plums add so much its hardly like regular Flora, in other words its amazing! haha sadly i’m a bit biased cause Flora’s not my favorite brew but don’t get me wrong i still like it... a lot! but this just goes above and beyond! get on this now!
