UPDATED: JUN 3, 2023 I normally don't like Royal beers much. But this one is quite alright and slightly tasty. Clearly the best of the Royals Malt, caramel/sweet, dry/rye. It doesn't do much but it's not bad for a very cheap beer. Served cold

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2022 Can from Scandinavian shop in Flensburg - clear mahagoni color, small white head. Malty, grainy, sweetish. Carbonation rather harsh. A bit unround.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2022 Light sweet aroma of caramel, fudge & malt. Clear amber golden with a low beige head. Synthetic tart bitter taste. Medium body, slick texture & average carbonation.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2021 Dåse: Ravfarvet klar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er maltet med let blomstret humle. Smagen er sød maltet, men med en god del bitterhed der bakker op. Bedre øl end forventet.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2020 Can, supermarket in Copenhagen. Relatively clear, deep golden/amber color. Thick, off-white, lasting head with decent lacing. Nose is lightly roasted malt and fresh bread (something yeasty - rye, perhaps). Only a distant hint of hops. Quite light on the taste: caramel malt, spreading on the tongue. Short finish that leaves much to be desired. Light carbonation. It's dull and watery, much like its cousin Royal export.
