COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With the warmth behind us, and cold ahead, the inaugural batch of Witchcraft was brewed under the harvest moon of 2014. This beer prepares you for the annual descent into darkness. Nine malt varieties, molasses, honey, and Anodyne coffee. Aged for one year in bourbon barrels and virgin Missouri oak barrels. The result is nothing short of perfection.

Sample at WOBFest 2016. Man I hope I can find this one in the store. Great coffee and molasses flavor with a hint of smokiness that covers up the high alcohol content. Way to go, Brenner!

On tap at Crafty Cow in Oconomowoc for their 2nd anniversary. This is excellent. Chocolate. Whiskey. Caramel malty and oak. Some roast. Smooth. Somewhat a KBS/BCBS blend. Very nice! 16.4

Draft. Poured black with a rich toasted brown ring of head. The aroma picked up decadent whiskey, cocoa, and vanilla with accents of charred oak.. huge, but well-balanced. The flavor found similar... dark cocoa, molasses, and a kiss of maple at the core with semi-tart, very tasty whiskey, vanilla, and charred oak around.. a touch more sour than I wanted on the finish... overall very tasty. Heavier-bodied with low-ish carbonation.. OK feel and flow.. nice one.

Draft at HopCat in Madison, WI. Dark brown pour with just a tiny bit of head and lacing. Complex, sweet smelling nose with notes of burnt toffee and caramel and a hint of coffee. Medium-heavy mouthfeel, lighter than expected. Low carbonation. The deScription here says there was vanilla added, which I’m not finding. Pretty good but these guys who rated it as a 5 are on crack.

Pours black with a thin mocha head. Aroma has awesome bourbon and wood with brown sugar and sweet coffee. Flavor is much sweeter...mild bourbon, coffee, brown sugar, mild chocolate...desserty and a bit too sweet. Mouthfeel is light/medium and syrupy with a sweet yet woody/roasty finish.

This is definitely in my top five beers of 2015. A friend shared a bottle with me on a trip to Milwaukee. Unfortunately the brewery was all sold out when I took the tour.

A delicious sweet stout with intense complexity and elegance. Great offering from such a young brewery. Excited to see what they do next year.

One of the best beers I had in 2015. Honey, molasses, coffee, chocolate. Huge flavor. Bought enough to age a few.

12oz bottle to snifter. Thick and oily. Big chocolatey head. A little heat in the aroma. Absolutely loaded with big hitting flavors. Chocolate, vanilla, molasses, light coffee, honey sweetness. Really smooth and sweet finish. Minimal bitterness. Sticky body. Really well done.
