Palme (5036) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 28, 2016On tap @ The Dublin, Copen. A clear ish deep amber looking one, a nice medium sized beige lacing head. Sweet thin caramel aroma, some fruity elements. Quite mild I would definitely say. Really needed a beer now, so I guess anything would be just fine, but it’s not bad tasting. A thin light oily feeling in the mouth and a high carbonation level. Soft fruity, some strawberries and then caramel. No IPA at all, but it did the job just fine cause thirsty as heck I am. 01.05.2014
hauxe (4003) - Butzbach, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2015Rated from old notes. Starts off like a light British bitter, sweetens inexorably, until halfway through you feel like your drinking a flat soda with strong caramel notes. Unpleasant. Avoid this mess.
mrol (366) - - JUN 25, 2015Red-orange-brown beer. Malty with caramel and roasted notes. Terrible smell and taste. Never more
slowrunner77 (19964) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 3, 2014"not a huge fan of this one. i bought it out of respect for their scottish ale, which i like, but this one fell pretty flat. tame for an "ipa" by any sane person’s standards, boring to most."
Metalchopz (7127) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 15, 2012Originally rated June 2004. 500ml can. Redish-brown with a nice lasting bubbly head. Very little aroma, very light carbonation. Bitter caramel taste with a smooth metallic finish. Like other mentioned, hard to take it as an IPA (more like an "English Brown Ale").
gramity (1829) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 1, 2011Pours a surprisingly brownish color with a little bit of a head that quickly goes away. Aroma is weak and hard to pin down... Taste is a bit watery. Floral and nut flavors come through (weakly) followed by a bit of acid and a little hoppy bitterness. It feels like an IPA light or something.
Rasmus40 (34334) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 28, 2011Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter. A bit light bodied. More sweet than bitter. 241004
Taverner (1247) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - JAN 27, 2011UPDATED: JAN 29, 2011 Absolutely the WORST IPA I have ever had. True, I was taking a chance with an IPA from Scotland. Chances are it was brewed when I was in grad school. Nose - that nauseating smell you got as a kid, going through your parents’ or grandparents’ liquor cabinet. Finish, cloyingly sweet. No bitterness, no flavor other than stale bay rum.
Let me add - this dirtwater was drainpour. I would rather drink Bud, Coors or MGD than this shit.
angrybeerman (259) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 10, 2010A fairly average ale. Can’t really remember it but I did not think it was great.
jtclockwork (21132) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 11, 2010I thought this beer was a little flat and tasteless. Pour is amber. Nose and taste is just not really there. Some citrus and spruce. Light caramels. Rated 11/22/02
