COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After long years of the beer community discussing hops to exhaustion, yeast is finally getting a glimpse of the spotlight following what seemed to be a lengthy Batman-like existence: outcast, living in the shadows, not getting enough credit for his work. However, the importance of fermentation is no news to Chad from Crooked Stave, a.k.a. the king of Hipsters, who has been fondling with various fermenting agents for longer than most people have been drinking. So it was that on a beautiful – yet excruciatingly hungover – Wednesday Mr Yakobsen came to Amager to bombard us simpletons with his knowledge on all things yeasty, and especially, bretty. Due to stubbornness from our end, we still insisted the brew carried a motherf#&@ of hops, despite intents of a brett forward beer. The answer to what ingredient won the battle lies within this bottle. But in our opinion, we are all winners.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2023 Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is brett, ctirus, some funky and mild earthy notes. Flavour is earthy, bretty, wooden, citrus, some slight spiciness along with some mild funk.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2022 Half liter bottle from State Line, 6/18/22 (just barely after midnight). Hazy yellow large white head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, funk, a sweet honey note. Taste is funk, leather, citrus, intense herbal notes. High carb, a bit thin. Nice

UPDATED: APR 26, 2022 Backlog January 2016. Pale golden body under a dense white head. Nice and fresh aroma of oak, grapefruit, hay and flowers. Taste is fresh and fruity with pale malt, grapefruit, citric fruit, light funk and herbal. Medium body and same aftertaste. Very nice.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2020 A bottle from Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb shared with Dinko. Clear golden, small off-white head. Intense yeasty, bretty, dusty, wood, aged cheese, lemony note. Sharp yeasty, barnyard, grainy, zesty, soft bitterness. Soft texture, soft to moderate carbonation, very dry finish. An older bottle, hops a bit lost, but yeasty components developed further.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2020 Bière 33 cl. Robe jaune paille trouble. Nez sur des notes végétales et fraîches, agrumes, levure avec le côté typique de la brett, une pointe de houblon. En bouche, amertume subtile, côté fermier tout en gardant un côté ipa avec une jolie amertume, et cette presence légèrement acidulée de la brett , c'est très sympa !

UPDATED: APR 22, 2020 Liquide jaune transparent, nez paille humide et brett avec une pointe de houblon. En bouche, c'est très léger sur la brett avec un côté fermier tout en gardant un côté ipa, c'est surprenant et très sympa !!
