UPDATED: SEP 15, 2023 Bottle from Foeders, drunk while reading Wool upon which Silo is based. Dark gold with light haze, huge lasting fine head, very nice cellary Belge aroma with hints of caramel and light smokiness. The flavor is sublime, full bodied with smooth carbonation and very complex yeast flavors, citrusy hops, and a wee hint of smoke rounding it all out. Light acidity as well, with nice farmhouse overtones balancing out the package. Fantastic beer.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2023 Bottle picked up from Foeders online Haarlem, Netherlands. Had this at home Wednesday 19th April 2023 in the company of Jude, listening to Scott Lavene (various tracks) cooking Lemon and Basil Risotto. Pours gold with a slight murky haze, there is a small off white head. Quite dry from the off, a little spicy yeastyness makes its presence known. Smooth, nice soft carbonation. Easy drinking for the abv, the smokiness is that subtle I had completely forgotten about it.

GBBF Day 2. Bottle. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly soft and slightly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a decent creamy sweetness. A mellow smoke, very mellow. Decent floral fruits on the back end, floral and a little floral peachy. Light semi dry finish.

EvNa (4727) - Ede, NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2020
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2020 Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, large white head. Aroma: Malty, smoked meat. Taste: Refreshing fruity and lightly herbal Saison yeast, notes of beechwood and clearly present yet not that strong smoke, some smoked bacon. Subtle citrus, orange, tangerine. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Moderate sweet and moderate to over moderate bitter. Long lasting dry finish. Nice one, nice complexity and balance.

thanatosti (4170) - Culemborg, NETHERLANDS - MAR 15, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2020 33 cl. bottle shared with Suus @ Alex and Suus. Dark golden with a white head. Wood smoke and peat aroma combined with Belgian farmhouse aromas and fruity yeastiness. Reminds me a bit of the Vandestreek Surf 'n Turf. Sweet taste with a bitter smokey finish. Interesting and tasty beer but not everyone's favorite I think.
