Commercial Description:
Bottled. Filtered and force-carbonated.<br /> "Dr Okells is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness."

VERY pale straw, almost lager like, good finger thick white head, leaves an attractive lacing as I sup. Nose is mouthwateringly hoppy, spicy and fruity....wow. A bit lighter in body than expected, clean and lightly malted, good bitter, hoppy edge that stays well on the long lasting finish.A quality brew. Sainsburys Ponteland.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow / golden color with a average frothy mostly lasting white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers, citrus, fresh... Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Nice balance. Body is light to medium, texture is oliy, carbonation is soft.

Bottle from Tesco. Gold with a slight haze and generous white head. Hoppy aroma at once both flowery and slightly citrus. Hoppy grapefruit flavours are nicely balanced sweet maltiness. Light enough palate to drink on a hot summer’s day. Pretty decent bottled IPA but not quite up there with the American trailblazers.

Bottle. Very nice IPA. Fresh and fruity. And very funny translations in Finnish on a back label...

Nice citrus aroma with some hints of alcohol on the nose. Looks pretty good, great head, good colour and nice bubbles coming up. Taste is a little watery however, with some dry hops notes and grains. Good mouthfeel. A good refreshing beer for a warm day.

Bottle supplied by Maeib (thanks!). Fragrant, citrus hops, with a smidge of pine resin. Light and fluffy, especially on the finish, where the flavour peters out slightly, and there is more of a malt presence. Still a tasty and sweet beer, which is a good product from the I of M. Something approaching an IPA in the US sense of the term, and probably ends up being akin to an APA. Enjoyable for sure.
