Mostly foam in the glass, needed minutes to fill the glass. It’s nearly black, caramel coloured foam. Rye bread, dried figs, ripe banana. Bitter, good sweetness, dried fruits, Very good Porter, once you get it in the glass.

0.33 l bottle from ’P&M Getränke’, best before end of 2016. Clear, very dark red to black with a massive, dense, very slowly diminishing, brown head. About 80% of the glass are filled with foam, but the bottle was not a gusher. Slightly roasty, fruity-malty aroma of dark cherries, plums, dark chocolate and some coffee. Sweetish, fruity-malty and minimally roasty taste of dark cherries, plums, dark chocolate and some coffee, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good, moreish porter, a bit too thin maybe, but Fritz needs to fix that foaming.

(Ale Mania Porter) Bottle 330 ml from a trade with Beerhunter111, thanks Hans Peter! Served into a big snifter, ABV 7.8% The pour consists mostly of thick beige head, even rising out of the bottle. After it finally settles, the beer has a very dark brown colour, a bit murky. Aroma of roasted malts, olive pit, liquorice, fruity notes. Taste of roasted malts, coal on the finish, vanilla, fruity and hoppy notes, sour hints that disappear after the beer has breathed a bit in the glass. Medium thin body, carbonation on the low side. Good, it needs to be decanted in order to shine.

The Polish and German night. Craft Clerkenwell. With Travlr and ChrisO. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth with decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, light creamy sweetness. Thin and bitterish dark fruits. Smooth finish. Clean if tangy porter.
