ccex (2331) - Lansing, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2023 12 pz. Bottle pours a hazy amber with off-white head and some lacing. Aroma has grains, tart fruit, and a bit of wood. Taste is slightly bitter. Body is light to medium without too much carbonation. This one exceeded my expectations with its complexity.

This beer is aged in cedar casks. Smooth, light bodied and a very unique taste. Has a wood aftertaste. Quite interesting beer. Cheers!

ttoadee (4081) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 1, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2021 Light haze to a copper pour, steady khaki head. Nose is fruit and malt. Middle is apricot, some caramel, figs, medium kilned malt, little marmalade, some light woody bitterness. Finish is still sweet, but with a bitterness swirling through, not much length. A lot going on here, nice beer.

tightslice (2828) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 21, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2021 Bottle from Big C Liquors in Winter Park, FL. Aroma is malty, stewed fruit, dried red bananas, caramel. Taste is malty, sorta sweet but then dry with a long bitterish finish of wood (maybe the cedar) and some hops. Reminded me of an Altbier or an English bitter. Not great but for me I really enjoyed this one.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2021 This is a backlog rating from 2007 from a bottle shared by Tmoney99, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are hoppy, citrus, wood, moderate bitterness.

3.3
huineman (1358) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 24, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2020 33 cl bottle served in its proper glassware (that cute mini-stemmed little glass.) A tan short-lived head sitting on top of a hazy dark reddish-orange ale. Aroma is not very intense and rather sweet: molasses, candy, honey, maple syrup. Despite the nose, it's not that sweet in the mouth, actually, it starts quite dry and only after it goes down does it feel slightly sweet. Mouthfeel is slick and full-bodied, and it lingers long after sipping it.
