Nov 1, 2009 Maybe it was the mood I was in but this was one really damn good IPA. Maybe with all the stouts I’ve been sucking down, I was hankerin’ for some hoppage and this delivered that fix for sure. The beer pours out a dark amber color, clear with a creamy light tan head, beautiful lacing and some nice staying power. Aroma has enough hop character to really satisfy my needs with a strong piney punch, followed up with a floral/sweet caramel note. Flavor is really something to enjoy. A near perfect blend of juicy hops and a toasted/caramel malts. Really a damn good job with the balance. The mouthfeel on this beer is so damn silky smooth, it borders on an oatmeal stout thickness. Just a chewy goodness that I really enjoyed. A sixer of this will do me fine tonight while watching the WS. Damn good IPA.

Oct 29, 2009 Poured from bottle into Pint glass.
Clear orange-amber with a frothy white head and very nice lacing.
Aroma of sweet toasted malts and citrus hops. Some pine as well.
Much more hoppy and bitter than the smell indicates. Pine and citrus hops with a ever-so-slightly sweet toasted malt counterbalance. Finishes very bitter, which lasts and lasts.
Moderate carbonation, medium body, very dry finish.
Excellent IPA all around. Nice sipper but hard to have too many.

Dark orange gold with a good white head. Big and resinous. Alcohol is a little too clear. Some petrol. Bitter finish. Ok but not amazing.

Oct 18, 2009 Bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a two finger white head. Left plenty of lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma was grass, pine, spruce, and citrus. Flavor was bitter then sweet. Pine, floral hops, and a bitter sweet aftertaste. A very good ipa.

Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, pine.
Flavor, light bitter hops, fruity; citrus/grapefruit, some faint malts. Tasty bordering a dipa with a tasty malty/pine finish.

Oct 16, 2009 A pretty nice IPA. If this were local I would reach for this a lot. Nice clear coopper color. Pine and slight sweetness in the aroma. Good caramel malt back bone with a sticky resin pine flavor and finish.

Oct 1, 2009 Bottle - Amber with a foamy head. Hoppy aroma with caramel, grapefruit and a hint of chocolate. Hoppy and bitter taste with grapefruit, toffee, raisins and chocolate. The finish is bitter, hoppy and fruity. Nicely balanced and enjoyable.
