Commercial Description:
As the story goes, I was redesigning our IPA to be bigger and better. As it came together, it started to take on a life of its own. After much deliberation and several pints of our new creation, we decided to name him after the master of the macabre, Edgar Allen Poe, as a tribute to his aptly named short story "Hop Frog". As Edgar fermented and spewed his almost abusive hop aroma throughout the pub, his legend and our thirst grew until finally one day, he was released into the world. We hope Edgar amuses you as much as he has us but stay on his good side, because, much like the story, this Hop Frog bites back!

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, caramel, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of grapefruit, hay, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish.

750 ml bottle shared by ShareANevada (BA). Pours a cloudy amber color with a small beige head. The aroma is sweeter caramel/toffee malt, fruity with hints of floral hops. The flavor opens with a strong bitterness followed by an almost balancing wave of caramel malt and some fruitiness that is mainly grapefruit citrus. Some alcohol burn comes in to play. Medium bodied. This is a solid DIPA. Rating #108 for this beer.

750 ml bottle via trade with boamr - Pours a hazy amber color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is floral and herbal hops, and cereal malt. Flavor is hops, esters, and toasted malt. Finish is fairly smooth and not too bitter. Medium body. Pretty mellow for a 2IPA. Good beer. Thanks Ryan.
