Commercial Description:
Red Tail Ale - The Legend is our flagship brand. It is brewed in the traditional "old world" manner, using premium two-row malted barley, hops and our own special proprietary yeast strain. It is an amber ale with a rich complex refreshing flavor and a crisp dry finish. Red Tail Ale is "Bottle Conditioned." Like good wine, Red Tail Ale is a perfect complement to fine dining.

Amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel with some citrus hops. Body is sweet and hoppy, though balance. Decent amber.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 16 March 2010) Amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, tea, red berries and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, grain, red fruit and floral hops in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Crisp and clean, but wouldn’t suffer from some more bite.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a decent white head that lasts. Tons of carbonation. Taste is of roasted malt, some hops, pine, some resin, caramel and some spice. Similar aroma. Nice light dryness and bitterness in the finish. Feels good on the tongue. Creamy body. Easy to drink, smooth and quite pleasant. Worth picking up again.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy red brown color with small gray head. Aroma of caramel malt, butter, sweet hops. Taste is a buttery caramel flavor with metallic hops on the finish. Would be fine to drink alot of, very smooth and drinkable, but overall, like most ambers, pretty mediocre. Not to say its in any way bad tasting though.

Bottled. Also light in color with little head. Caramel aroma and flavor with other bland malt. A dryer finish here ends it nice.

Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, with hints of dark fruits and earthy hops. Flavor is caramel with hints of roastiness, a little malty sweetness, and hints of earthy hops. Not bad.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium dark amber with a small white frothy head. Aroma is very caramel and toffee sweet malt forward. Some biscuit, a little bit nutty, grassy lightly piney hop character. Finishes sweet with a very minimal bitterness. Medium body and a fizzy carbonation. Not a bad amber, very drinkable
