draught@Erzbierschof Zurich - light haty dark amber beer with a little foam left; aroma of vanilla, well-integrated woody tones, plums, apple and cognac; full-bodied, some sourness, low carbonation, very dry and sour; more plums, pears and vanilla and with a stronger wood presence in the finish

Draught Small yellowish head, stable, over deep redbrown beer. Sweet, bits of caramel/toffee, fruit, hints at spices. Sweet, but with a very good whisky and chocolate flavour. Very well bodied, if not thick. Extra slick, viscous. Sweet, but just not too much. Whisky, again, is quite balanced.

On tap at Erzbierschof. Cleary ruby, almost no foam and lowly carbonized. Dominating whisky aroma, a bit smoky, some malts. A bit of sweetness in the taste, but still mostly whisky, Speyside I’d say. Interesting!
