on tap at RB Chicago. pours very light and hazy golden with white head. nose is wheaty with some fruitiness. flavor is loaded with mildly tart apricot juicy and some wheat. not really enjoying this.

Wow, first one to rate this in almost 2 years (and the first one still under 1,000 ratings now). Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. I see this one being favored by a lot of non hardcore beer drinkers during the summer. Mild aroma, wheat, little fruit. The apricot flavor seems to be a lot more overpowering now than in the past. I thought the sweet apricot really took over everything else in the beer. Was good though, I could see enjoying this on their rooftop if we could ever get some nice weekends.

Flavored American wheats are never gonna thrill the b’jeebers out of me, but with the hot, humid weather that we’ve been having in the Chicago area, this slid down just fine. It pours a hazy, dull orange with a respectable cream colored head and has only a faint apricot aroma. Most is taken up by a soft lemony wheat smell. This tastes of wheat, light malt, apricot, spices, and lemon. A solid Summer thirst quencher.

On tap at R.B. Chicago. Poured a hazy dull golden with a medium cap of creamy white head. Nose was of artificially-sweet lemony-wheat with some bready malts and bubblegum. The apricot was faint, but eventually came through. Artificially-sweetened apricot, bready malts, and tart wheat in the flavor... a hint of lemon zest at the finish. This felt unremarkable on the palate... although not bad. Tart notes were well-placed.

Hazy golden orange with a thin, tight white head. Mild, fruity apricot aroma with a bit of mild citrus, berries (?), wheat bread, yeasty dough, subtle, floral hops and a bit of orange juice. The body is just about right for an excellent thirst-quencher on a hot, muggy Chicago evening. The flavor profile is also quite nice. The apricot, while present, is but a hint and keep the beer from becoming one dimensional one hand and from becoming cloying on the other. The wheat yields a spiciness to keep things interesting. The finish is quick, but refreshes and cools one off and has just a hint of mild bitterness. All told, this isn’t the kind of thing dreams are made of, but it does it’s job effectively.

Draft. Another nice summer fruit wheat beer by Pete Crowley. Pours an opaque wheat body, made a little browner by the apricot, under a thin, lacy head. Smell is of a clean lawnmower type beer. The apricot flavor is not profuse, but lends a nectar character and a seet/tart note. Seems to be a light American(?) hop bill, just to balance, although there is a more bitter taste in the finish. Its alcohol sneaks up on you a little, instead of lending "warmth." A little "thick" for a summer beer, you’ll have to sit down to enjoy it.
