PorterPounder (11023) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2022
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2022 3/30/22 - Memphis, TN - Whole Foods - Poplar Ave - 12 oz bottle. Dark brown, coffee-like pour, mocha head that hangs around a while. Earthy aroma, touch of potting soil, some sweet coffee flavored candy. Good old fashioned porter flavor, some molasses undertones, a touch of bitter coffee, just a hint of chocolate, but not too sweet. Chewy mouthfeel.

Kleg (2975) - The Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2021 12 oz. bottle from Kroger in Brentwood, TN. Pours a very dark brown cola color with ruby highlights and a tight tan head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Nutty dark malts aroma. Likewise, mostly flavors of dark malts with light nuttiness and no real porter flavor. More like a dark lager or a light brown ale. Very smooth and clean mouthfeel. A bit thin for a porter. Low carbonation. Not bitter. It may not be a great porter, but I like it.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2018 Draft at Yazoo. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates. Cocoa powder aromas with bakers chocolate & ovaltine notes as it warms. Creamy palate, toasty nutty cacao note that lingers on the palate. Not overly bitter & well balanced. Solid porter.
