ManVsBeer (19453) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2024UPDATED: APR 7, 2024 Tap @ Brauhaus Sternen, Frauenfeld. Hazed deeper golden with a carbonation and a head. Has decent banana in both aroma and taste. This brew grew on me.
Quack-Duck (11866) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 23, 2007bottle, labelled Weizen Trumpf, bought at the brewery. Cloudy pale yellow, small head. Full-bodied, malty and yeasty with hints of banana. Reminds me of Belgian Witbiers, because of the hints of spices and orange peel.
MoritzF (10604) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - APR 9, 2007(bottle, 4,8% ABV, as Weizen Trumpf, with thanks to quack-duck!) Cloudy, orange colour with a dense foamy white head. Initially grassy aroma, something what I definitely not expect from a Hefeweizen (green-glass bottle effect). Furthermore it has the yeasty house character, plus notes of fruits (banana, pear) and clove and band aid phenols. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a quite smooth carbonation for a Weizen. Yeasty, malty taste with a moderate wheat-character and notes of banana; medium, dry, light-sweet, slightly tart finish with a light clovy spice and some yeasty bitterness in the light fruity aftertaste. Not very balanced. All in all rather unconvincing.
fiulijn (28318) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 3, 2004Clean blond color; huge head. Yeast, light hop and carbonic gas aroma, with a light sourness. Poor Weizen character, partially spoiled by some sourness (infection?).
Bov (14982) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUL 8, 2004bright red-orange colour with a big dense creamy head, aroma of wet haye and corn, medium-bodied, sweet with a light acidity, creamy mouthfeel, the finish is dry with wheaty notes - good character for a very drinkable weizen
