jgb9348 (10811) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 7, 2019UPDATED: JUL 7, 2019 Fairly clear pink and rose coloured body with a bit of a haze noticeable, especially near the top, along with a thinnish and single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of funk, brett, dry grainy malt, some biscuits, a lot of yeast and bready scents with a dash of alcohol and a tiny amount of raspberries. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong crisp and grainy malty notes with a lot of bread and biscuity dry flavours with the ever-present funky yeast brett flavours that show nice, but a crisp and showing a lot of the typical Prairie flavours. Aftertaste shows a tiny bit of sweetness with a lot of dry flavours, only a touch of raspberries and ending with much more of a saison-y finish with just the malt and brett yeast coming through. Overall, a nice and enjoyable, dry, and especially crisp beer with a ton of flavours throughout, but not so much of the raspberries. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Spec's Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$7,46 sampled at home in Washington on 30-June-2019, nearly four years later.

balloonbuffoon (1125) - - AUG 13, 201716.9floz (500ml) bottle, no freshness date, but this is from 2015, bought on sale for $4.50. When poured into the tulip glass there is much head creation atop an orange-yellow body. Wild yeast funks up the nose with leather and institutional hand soap aromas. Yeast continues to dominate the full-bodied and mildly sour palate. The parsley-like, and botanical flavors only come together so-so for me.
Cenzura (743) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAY 15, 2017Aroma: fermented fruits, funky notes, fresh hops. Taste: fruits, raspberries, some alcohol; very refreshing. Nice head, poor lacing and high carbonation.
tom10101 (6528) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 11, 2017Bottle (500 ml) at home, split 2-ways. Slow gusher. Hazy pale salmon with a small white head leaving little lacing. Aroma is of fresh raspberries despite the fact the beer is quite old, leafy notes, light funk, citrus and soapy notes. Taste is gently tart with fresh raspberries, leafy notes, citrus, light soapy and hints of alcohol. Medium body. Moderate-medium carbonation. Leafy raspberries finish. The Saison character isn’t has bright and distinctive as in other Prairie beers and the 8%+ abv is a bit high for the style but still it’s a good raspberries forward farmhouse ale.

Appearance: Pours a moderately murky, pinkish-gold body with a foamy, lasting, white head.
Smell: Raspberry, lightly acetone-toned aroma with a cutting, earthy funkiness and some cider-dosed lemonade.
Taste: Funked-up raspberries with a nibble of chalky TUMS®, a shot of lemon juice, with hints of peppery spice and sweet cream enveloped in a. A touch of medicinal, acetone harshness, as well as some booze on the swallow with some lingering minerality creeping on the tongue.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Highly carbonated for a kicky mouthfeel.
Overall: Rather rough around the edges.
