These people have an appreciation for balance and it shows. Thick and dark body with a nice fluffy head and some lace. Sweet, coffee-like mouthfeel and taste without excessive roastiness. Typical tangy finish that I'm really growing to like. Porters are fun beers!

Solid and flavorful. Could stand to be a bit heavier but is still satisfying. downender (2814), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2010 caramel, chocolate aroma. Nice dark brown to black, a little translucent. Small tan head. Medium body, not as creamy as some porters, soft carbonation. The finish is a little rough..not what I expected. Pretty decent overall. heavy (913), Split, Croatia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2010 03/03 0.35 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! Always wanted to compare stout and porter of the same brewery which is not usually encountered, so this is a perfect opportunity. It poured dark reddish brown body with small brown head, brighter than their stout.Nice coffee aroma, quite similar to stout with all that aromatic hops, but this time more herbal than citrus. Flavor is quite similar as well, with somewhat different bitterness, more herbal this time. Coffee and caramel, nothing too special. Medium to thin bodied. Slightly earthy finish together with coffee bitterness and caramel sweetness. Well, the two beers are pretty similar with stout being a class above this brew. Expected more. bobman006 (121), New Jersey, USA

Flavors of cocoa, tobacco, oak, soy, and dark fruit. Medium-thin body with creamy mouthfeel and moderate-low carbonation. pennywhistle (9), California, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Pretty decent. In the greater Sierra Nevada context, I give it an A, but compared with my favourite porters and stouts like Speedway, more of a B+. It was a little too watery, although it had a great light flavour of raisins and coffee. For a relatively cheap beer, it was good. Adenila (1000), Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2010 Clear brown look with just a medium fast disappearing brown head. The aroma is quite mild with notes of milky chocolate and light roasted malts. Clean flavor with a medium malty chocolate sweetness and a minor roasted bitterness. Tasty and easy going. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2010 Bottle from beershop.hr, shared with heavy Really dark brown, off white head. Coffeeish, and even more chocolatey roasty malty nose, sweet and dry. The taste is coffeeish and roasty but not as distinctly as the stout... some light hoppy bitterness mingling with roastiness... notes of carrot and not much else. Much lighter than the stout. Dunno, I really hope this is just a bad batch or bottle or something, quite disappointing.
