Commercial Description:
Überhoppy Imperial IPA: Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is; soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you, do us all a favor and either give this beer to someone with the intestinal fortitude to appreciate it or put it down and walk away. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness. Approximately 9.5% ABV.

22 oz bottle from City Beer Store in San Fransisco. Very pineappley, tropical fruits, mango, starfruit, melon in the aroma. Pours golden blonde with a thin white head. Very hoppy flavor, hop forward, earthy bitterness, citrus peel, grapefuit, tangerine, with a solid malt backbone, solid IIPA!!! Awesome beer!!

Thanks to Redlight for this awesome brew! Hazy orange light amber color. Insanely hoppy citrus aroma, pungent. The aroma of sex panther "singes the nostrils". Crisp tasty malty body with a huge citrus hop bitterness. Great balance and wonderful display of hops. Excellent.

(10/29/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Stockton. Hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops, some fruits and light maltiness. Sweet malty flavor with cookies, caramel, biscuity notes and a bitter hoppy finish with some citrus and alcohol notes. Medium-bodied. Good but not amazing. 7/4/7/3/15=3.6
(10/29/08) Draught at the brewery in Stockton (thanks a lot Steve and Mike!). Hazy orange-amber color. Aroma of citrusy hops, some fruitiness and some malt in the back. Sweet flavor at first with cookies, caramel and some honey-ish notes. Continues with lots of hops and big bitterness, some fruits, and some alcohol. Nice silky mouthfeel. 8/4/7/4/15=3.8

My 100th DIPA rating. 22 oz bottle. Clear amber with a pocked balsa head. Nose is orange, candi and peppery pine. Crisp, lively and juicy with creamy hops and resin. Taste is caramel, grass, nectarine and grapefruit pith. Not too bitter or sweet make this an easy drinking imperial.

Dark orange color with a fluffy head. Aroma is not as big as the flavor. Some pine and citrus hops bordering semi tropical. Flavor is very bitter and oily bit a big body and tons of grapefruit and pine earthy hops. Lingering but nice. Very well balanced.

22 oz botle of a great trade, thanks trading buddy. Poured a deep dark shade of orange with a nice clear body that highlighted a bight white head that left some serious nice lacing.Flavor of citrus, toffee, caramel, toast, syrup and lots of syrupy hops on top pf a sweet body. Good stuff.

Courtesy aspidites and stoutlover72. Hazy burnt orange and a small layer of off white foam. Nose is floral, spicy, resinous, pine trees, skunk (good one), and pungent past ripe melons and tangerines. Same flavors with emphasis on floral, spicy, fruity hops. Malt support gives it some body, but that’s it. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation. Easy to drink. Great IIPA.

Re-rate from bomber, courtesy SoLan. Awesome pineapple character aroma on nose and taste. The taste, while being smacked in the face by a pineapple, is still smooth and accessible as a study in hops. Absolutely sick. <P> 12 oz bottle from stoutlover72. Dark copper in color with dark ruby tints. Thin head, but more head than one usually sees from a DIPA. Aroma is aggressively hoppy, floral, and alcoholic. Grapefruit rind and lemon present as well. Taste has a smack of hops to begin and ends with a flush of grapefruit character that lingers a bit. Some heat in the finish from the alcohol. A very nice DIPA, definitely has some unique qualities to it.
