Musty, funky nose, slightly fruity, very Belgian. Symphony of flavors, musty, spicy, fruity very long finish. Excellent. Only downside, twas a gusher.

750 mL bottle. Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Funky tart aroma with red apple and spice. Flavor starts and finishes with tartness, but the middle is dominated by toasted biscuit, cloves, and some perfumy floral flavors. Salty impression as well. Pretty nice.

Poured a strawish gold with a nice foam. Aroma was floral and fruity. Pretty light bodied yet flavorful, well done.

Heard good things about this beer, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was really let down. The sharp acidic sour taste is a overwhelming, and I can barely sense the pepper and other spices. Golden in color, but pale like a wit beer. Mose memorable qualities: thin and sour.

Bach 284 - 750ml bottle
Exploded when I opened the bottle. Beer all over my computer desk and floor. Not impressed. Lost over half of the bottle, good thing it is a big bottle.
Appearance: Hazy (w/yeast chunks) straw color with a large white head leaving some lacing in the glass
Aroma: Spices, brett, yeasty
Taste: Spicy with some citrus, pepper and yeast. Slight sour finish
A refreshing beer. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this brewery and listened to interviews with Ron Jeffries and was looking forward to opening this beer. But not happy that half of it gushed out on my desk and floor. It looks like I’m not the only one that had this problem.

750 ml. bottle from Green’s on Ponce De Leon. Talk about a fucking explosion; as soon as I opened this thing it was dumping foam all over my kitchen floor and hand. Now, that a 1/3rd of the beer is gone I can enjoy this. Nice haze orange/yellow color with a fluffy head (no shit). This beer looks really good despite the explosion, mentioned earlier. Nice sour lemon aroma with some funk and brett. This smells like a Gueuze to me i.e. it has that funk, brett, and sour with a mineral water smell as well. There is also a sweet sugary smell in there, probably coming from the yeast. Hmmm... the taste is not what I expected. The sour and brett don’t come through as much as I thought they would. There is a nice fruit sweetness with some yeast, but there is this offensive funk flavor. I love the funky flavors, but this one just isn’t what I thought. It is a nasty fruit funk, which is slightly growing on me, but I think it is a little off-putting. Carbonation gets a low score because I feel it is over carbonated. Brett is too short-lived for me to think highly of this. Decent bitterness at the end. This beer is decent and I love the look and the smell of it, but when I drink it, everything starts going down hill.

Batch 297, bottle opened with huge head. Golden pour with fluffy white head, aroma is peat, spices, and earthy yeast. Taste is spicy, citrusy from the hops, and then leading into an earthy brett like funk. Excellent!

750 ml, batch 386. Gusher from the bottle is hazy golden with a creamy head that endures. Nose of pickles, chewing gum, resin, light funk and oak. Taste of pickling spice, light apple and citrus, earthy funk, hints of minty chewing gum on the finish. Near-medium body is smooth with a crisp dry finish like a pilsner with a pleasant sourness. By far, this is the best (and only somewhat-balanced) brew I’ve had from this all-sour brewery. Pleasant surprise. Why is this not in the Biere de Garde category?

from crackedkettle.com - hazy blond colour under a huge white foam; nice lace leaves on the side of the glass; estery nose with notes of apples and pears; effervescent palate and with a medium to full malt backbone; taste is sweet/sour with a fair initial acidity; some residual sugars in a long fruity and estery finish - well-executed (as always from this brewery) but not my kind of beer
