Dec 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light copper, darkens a slight bit when entirely poured. Little head retention. Little bit hazy. Hoppy and fruity on the nose with a subdued maltiness. Bitter start that lingers, slight sweetness, hops flavor on the tongue lasting for awhile after swallowed. Low carbonation but tons of mouthfeel.

Nov 30, 2009 Big surprise is just how far reaching this beer is being sampled in the US, last I heard Shasta had like 2 exits, good stuff on there part. As for the beer, kind of lighter than I would have expected for a 7% IPA, smell was citrusy, not sure of the hops. Taste was caramel with a strong dry finish. This is an above average IPA, but higher marks because of where it’s from, went to a wedding up there and it was off the hook, groom did a beer run mid-wedding, just spectacular.

Nov 16, 2009 Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine, grapefruit rind and a hint of orange zest. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.

Sep 4, 2009 Bottle… Lightly hazed golden ale with a small, bubbly, white head. The nose is of honey, toffee, resin and pine. Full-bodied and velvety with bristly carbonation. Leans only slightly toward the bitter side of balance. Malty and sweet up front, but hopped sufficiently to place it firmly within the genre of PNW IPA. Finishes tannic, tongue-numbing and fairly dry. Thanks go out to giarcsr for sending this bottle my way!

Aug 21, 2009 ~Pours a cloudy gold/amber color with small head.
~Berry hop scent with mild malts and light grapefruit.
~Woodsy hop flavor with slight berry sweetness, bitter and oaky.
~Medium feel, bitter oak finish.
~Nice IPA. I enjoy the oaky hops.

Aug 6, 2009 Not a bad IPA! Had this one fresh at the brewery. Much like Stone IPA, in that its a nice tongue buckling bitter IPA. Full flavored, and strong in hops. Drink this one fresh.

Jul 11, 2009 stinky caramel aroma; cloudy copper body with lasting off-white head; bittersweet flavor - notes of wood, grapefruit, sugar; smooth at first, but eventually wants to be cloying yet doesn’t get there; good brew overall, but nothing different in comparison to the competition.
