At Oregon Brewers Festival. Looks like a typical IPA, but tastes watered down and weak, especially compared to other offerings at this festival. This one has no business calling itself an IPA, or someone watered it down.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with joeneugs. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate white head that lasted through the first two sips and left light lace. Very pleasant aroma that is filled with orange, grapefruit and caramel. The flavor is malt and caramel up front followed by some grapefruit pith hops bitterness. Medium bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. Solid IPA.

From a 12oz,gold in color, white head,I think this IPA has a great taste to it for the price and plan on buying more.

Started off with a perfectly poured IPA that retained its foamy head, and had a golden body. Flavor was more one dimensional hop bomb, woodiness took control over any citrus flavors. At 7% I thought the qualities of Mountain High lent itself to a 2XIPA. Could use more balance.

Bottle. Poured a darker amber color with a white head that went rather quickly. Did leave some lacing on the side of the glass as it went. Aroma was pine, citrus and spruce hops. Some metallic flavor. Not as hoppy as I would like. Still very drinkable. Good beer

Bottle. Pours a light copper, darkens a slight bit when entirely poured. Little head retention. Little bit hazy. Hoppy and fruity on the nose with a subdued maltiness. Bitter start that lingers, slight sweetness, hops flavor on the tongue lasting for awhile after swallowed. Low carbonation but tons of mouthfeel.

Big surprise is just how far reaching this beer is being sampled in the US, last I heard Shasta had like 2 exits, good stuff on there part. As for the beer, kind of lighter than I would have expected for a 7% IPA, smell was citrusy, not sure of the hops. Taste was caramel with a strong dry finish. This is an above average IPA, but higher marks because of where it’s from, went to a wedding up there and it was off the hook, groom did a beer run mid-wedding, just spectacular.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine, grapefruit rind and a hint of orange zest. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, biscuit, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.
