Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Lactic, slightly diacetyl nose. Robust malt flavors impart a dry, roasted flavor that offets the sweet cream flavors. Silky finish.
Carib brewery version. Thick black color with tight tan head. Aroma is slightly vegetal but with chocolate carob and fruits as well as lactic sourness so not bad. Soft carbonation. Very fruity flavors including banana, seemingly rich. Quite a sweet version, not as bad as I first thought but does finish sticky-sweet. 6-3-6-3-8 maniac (2875), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Pours an oily black with a modest bubbly brown head that fades into a compact surface film. Beautiful! Huge rich aromas of coffee and sweet chocolate mousse. Silky, heavy mouthfeel with rich chocoalte and coffee all over the place, sweet enough to be a dessert if you wish, but not so sweet as to become cloying. It has been too long since I’ve had a stout that is this enjoyable-- who says you need to pump a beer up with alcohol and call it "Imperial" to give it character? This blows away some of the imperial stouts I’ve had on pure blissful drinkability matched with astonishing balance and depth of flavour. Go get some! PilsnerPeter (2862), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2006 Jet black pour with a nice deep brown head. Huge aroma, pleasantly chocolatey, freshly baked oatmeal cookies and a touch of licorice. The body is a bit thin, but the flavor is great. Light mouthfeel with very chocolatey malts (chocolate pudding). Has a later mocha coffeeish character and a slightly roasty finish. Low bitterness, smooth and highly drinkable. beerinmarch (2830), Washington, USA

Strong aroma of chocolate with almost a hint of coffee. Nice roasty flavor, with a great chocolate taste with just a nice hint of coffee malts. Nice thickness to it, very smooth, great sweet stout. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2002 If your only experience with stouts is with dry Irish Style or Big Imperial stouts this will be a unique change of pace. Thick bodied and SWEET! Think along the lines of dark chocolate. Big coffee flavors with it. Try it with a rich chocolate dessert. Aubrey (2813), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2000 A little too sweet and sticky on the palate, in my opinion. Poor head retention. Seems to have a slightly unappealing sour taste too.
