Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Cloudy amber with a beige head. Sour aroma with vinegar, sour fruits, wine, oak, vegetables. Sour flavor, slightly sweetish, with malt, caramel, sour fruits, vinegar, wine, and a bitterish note in the finish. Medium-bodied. Weird aroma, flavor is better. Still so-so.

0,375l bottle at home at Vienna Tasting shared by Gurthnar, big thanks. BB 16.11.2016. redish / amber color, small off-white head. smells of exotic fruits, acidic, spices, some resin, nutty. interesting smell, good though. medium body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite sour, almost astringent, some vinegar, some wood, hints of exotic fruit hops, leathery, green apples, some grass. finishes quite dry and sour with some green apple notes, some vinegar and white wine notes. hmm, a bit too sour for me. there is apparent that there was supposed to be some hop notes but they do not come out enough for me, just hints but because of the strong sourness it does not come through at all.

Bottle from my 2015 Secret Santa Beersiveknown. Many thanks! Everything stated on the label holds true in reality, which is a great thing in my opinion. Really a complex beer where hops mix in unusual harmony with the barrel woodiness, very light winey flavour and assertive sourness and basementy character. Very good.
