UPDATED: FEB 20, 2020 I would give this more stars if I could. So delicious, smooth and satisfying. If you like tart sours that almost border on tasting like wine, this is the sour for you. Dark red color like a merlot, lovely lightness in contrast, well balanced in carbonation and minimal foam on top. I first tried it in a flight and immediately knew it was my favorite. I visited Funkatorium about 4 more times throughout my trip just to have another glass and we bought a bottle for our hotel. Also, it was a huge surprise to me that this is a 10% ABV, it does not taste like it’s that strong. I am extremely sad I can’t find this beer where I live, would stockpile them if I ever came across it here.

Tap at BeerTemple, 5th November 18. Pours a purple black. Aroma is pungent berries. Taste is astringent, mouth puckeringly sour, too sour for me, and lacks complexity.

Holy berries. Tasted from bottle. Lots of raspberry and blackberries. Don’t get much cherry. Nice and tart but not overly sour. Excellent sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

juiceisloose (3847) - Windermere, Florida, USA - AUG 31, 2018
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2018 500ml bottle. Pours a very red almost brown in color and topped by a beige colored head of foam that settles in quickly to a thin film and leaves some sudsy lace behind on the glass. The aroma is really nice and fruity with loads of sour blackberries, boysenberries, tart raspberries, vinous red wine, dried oak, sherry, and a hint of cherries as well. Nice mix of sweet and tart with the fruit and big sherry notes from the barrel as well. The flavor follows and again shows a nice blend of sweet and tart with huge berry notes up front with tart blackberries/boysenberries, and raspberries followed by vinous notes of sherry, oaky tannins, and some earthy notes as well. Not nearly as sour as some of their other offerings which I appreciate. Medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation that leads to a tart blackberry, raspberry, and sherry like finish with a nice dryness. Really well executed and tasty dark sour. Damn good stuff here.

Murky brown pour. Pungent aroma, a little boozy but not to a fault. Wine, tons of berries, funk oak and malt. The aftertaste is really nice. Has the booze of a bourbon BA sour, but is sherry, which is tasty and fairly unique. Well done. Flavor 8.5, look 3.5.
