On tap, Bottle Room. Beautiful pale amber-orange, with a mild scent of herbs and fresh lemon. Flavor starts with a hit of crisp hops, then rounds with toasty malt, some soft nutty qualities, and a mildly bitter finish. A surprising amount of subtlety packed into this beer. Very sessionable.

Mild and refreshing. Malt and hop in balance. Color and aroma are unremarkable but the taste is dandy.

On tap at Lucky Baldwins. Color was a dull auburn. Aroma smells unique for the style; sweet, fruit, sugar and flowers. Flavor of grape juice, bread with not much hopping. Hint of flavors. Ok, but not a whole lot of great flavor. A bit watery.

Draught, brewery. Bright amber with white head. Good-looking. Great nose with bright but woodsy English hops. Characteristic, session ale.

Cask conditioned at The York, Highland Park, CA. Solid, solid beer to cask. One of the darkest pale ales I think I’ve seen. This offers a nice bouquet and body of poppyseed, apple, and floral notes. A palatte that’s really quite simple but somehow full. Very, very nice.

On draft at Stone Bistro and Gardens. Arrived a clear deep copper color with a thin white head. Light aroma of toasty malts and somewhat perfumey floral notes. Flavor of toasty malts and ripe summer fruits, more floral notes, lightly spicy hops, with a lingering floral and herbal finish. Medium body and crispy carbonation.
