COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: North Bridge Extreme, was a present from the brewers to Brewmaster Anders on the first anniversary of Nørrebro Bryghus. Inspired by the Southwest Californian triple IPA’s, it is brewed with British ale malts, adjusted with several colour malts and spiced with extreme amounts of hops.
A dark golden extremely bitter ale (9,5 % ABV) with a prominent hop aroma. Should be enjoyed as the final beer of the evening – Your taste buds will no longer function after drinking this ale!

Bottle purchased in 2013 - had developed some foggy/cardboard nose notes and old ale flavor: molasses, black licorice, candied/aged citrus rind notes, lots of maltiness. Big body, moderate carbonation.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark amber with a light brown head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, sweet fruit, melon, peach, little citrus. Flavor is rather sweet, malty, bread, caramel sweet fruit, citrus, orangepeel, grapefruit. Full body, average carbonation, light bitter finish with some alcohol. 030910

Pours a murky brown from the bottle with thin bubbly white head. Aroma is all malt at this point, barley sugars. Taste follows, sweet and boozy, hops are all gone. Definitely aged to barley wine, meh.

Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Bottle at Brouwer’s. Pours amber with minimal head and spotty lacing. Aged double ipa ftw -- ain’t nothin’ gonna stop my ticking. Aroma - caramel, still some hops, and the old familiar aged barleywine "prune" (or whatever you want to call it). Full body, and the hops are still surprisingly potent; earthy, herbal, bitter with a big caramel backbone. Sort of an oldish hoppy barleywine. Full body, with a little bit of copper.

Bottle at Brouwer’s Cafe, pours a dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, lots of caramel, and toffee. Flavour brings out lots of caramel, resinous hops still there from all the years, and toffee. Drinks like more of a really hoppy barley wine, with some slight oxidation. Really wonderful stuff - wouldn’t have thought to age a IIPA, but this works.

Aroma is caramel, dry malts and spicy hops. The flavor is caramel, citrus, grapefruit and a mix of alcohol and bitter in the finish.

Ruby colour, no head. Aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruits, very much like barley wine. Taste is medium bitter a bit sweet. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation. Something in between a barley wine and Imperial IPA.

maniac (3801) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bottle on 02/27/2011. Slightly hazy body with a small off white head. Sweet floral and citrus aroma with lots of caramel. Sweet caramel fruit and hop flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle (1PT 4.3FL OZ.) Pours cloudy amber brown with a tight foamy sudsy khaki head that fades to a film and soapy collar. Aroma has nice faded hops and sugar caramel malt some toffee pitted dried fruit and sweet bread. Taste is dulled bitter faded hops with sugar caramel toffee and bread dark dried fruit, this is tasting very nice for being 3 plus years old. Palate is medium to full with a chalky dry finish. This is nice has aged into a solid strong ale or even a Barley wine of sorts.
